Public Folder Manager Node

Use the Public Folder Manager node to configure the public folders you want to process. If your Exchange server does not have a public folder store, this node displays a message indicating that you cannot add public folders to it. Once a folder is listed here, you can define a policy to process either the folder or the folder and all its subfolders. By default, all users have permission to search into a public folder, however, you can restrict users from searching public folders.

Unlike mailboxes, for a public folder there is no option to create a retrieved messages folder or a search archive folder; users must use the search archive folder in their mailbox to search the archive.

No operations, except unarchive, are applied to replicated public folders or to public folders that are only accessible through referral or affinity as message links do not operate as expected on the replica and operations would be very slow through a referral or affinity link. If you have archived a folder and you need replicated, you must first unarchive it. Use the Folder is replicated search criterion.

The folder paths must not overlap with the paths of public folders in use for any other configuration item. For instance, the folder added to the Public Folder Manager must not be a subfolder of the public folder configured for retrievals.

If you are running multiple instances of the ArchiveOne Admin application, changes made on this node in one instance are not visible on the other instance. If you suspect there have been changes, restart your instance to ensure it has up-to-date data.
