Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager. If you currently hold a maintenance and support contract, you will continue to receive our award-winning support until your contract expires, or until May 1st, 2019, whichever occurs first. The license for ArchiveOne is perpetual; therefore the software may continue to be used independently without any updates or support indefinitely.

How to Hide the URL Retrieval Link in Archived Messages

  • Last updated on

This article refers to the Barracuda ArchiveOne version 6.0 and higher.

You can hide the retrieval link in message stubs, for example, if your organization does not use Outlook Web Access or you do not want users to use this retrieval method. Instead, users must use the Quick Link Client or Laptop Client.

To prevent the URL from being inserted into message stubs,

  1. On the Archive server, browse to \\ConfigurationServerName\Add-ins\AOnePol
    where ConfigurationServerName is the name of the server that hosts the configuration data.

    If you do not know the Configuration Server name, open the Admin console, and click the Status Node.

  2.  Open the file AOneConfig.c2c in Notepad.
  3. At the end of the file, add the following line:
    InhibitUrlInStub=1
  4. Save and close the file.

Any newly archived messages do not include the retrieval URL in the message stub.
