Barracuda Backup

Why is the Barracuda Backup Server backing up more data than is specified in my share?

Solution #00003890

Scope:
All Barracuda Backup Servers, all firmware versions.

Scope:
Problems can arise when a DFS (distributed file system) share is added as a data share on a backup server. A DFS is used to build hierarchical views of multiple file servers and shares on a network. When using a DFS, point your backup server to the root share within the DFS and then select specific folders for backup.
