Barracuda Backup

How do I determine my LDAP Base DN for use with the Barracuda Backup Exchange Message Level Backup?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 9 months ago

Solution #00004232

Scope:
This solution applies to all Barracuda Backup Servers.

Answer:
When performing an Exchange Message Level Backup, you will be asked for your LDAP Base DN. This is the LDAP Base Distinguished Name of your Active Directory install. This is almost always based on your Windows Domain Name.

Example:

The DN for domain.local would be DC=domain,DC=local.

or

The DN for foo.domain.local would be DC=foo,DC=domain,DC=local.
