End of Support for Barracuda Email Security Gateway Firmware Versions

Barracuda is announcing End of Support for certain versions of the Barracuda Email Security Gateway Firmware, effective May 31, 2019. See also Barracuda Networks Sunset Policy.

Why are we making this change?

Barracuda Email Security Gateway has served the email security needs of our customers since 2004. Since then, we have released numerous firmware versions with new features, the latest security updates and bug fixes. Older firmware versions are more vulnerable to security risks and do not cover the latest bug fixes and security updates. In order to maintain our quality of support, we will no longer provide technical support or security updates for firmware versions older than 8.0.4.002 and 8.1.0.003.

End of Support: Barracuda Email Security Gateway Firmware versions older than 8.04.002 and 8.1.0.003

What does it mean for you?

The latest firmware version is 8.1.0.003. You can continue to use the older firmware versions, but you will not receive security updates and technical support for versions other than 8.0.4.002 and 8.1.0.003. We recommend that you upgrade to version 8.1.0.003 in order to benefit from the most recent security updates and the best technical support.

Barracuda will continue to provide support for the Barracuda Email Security Gateway for all customers with the most current firmware versions that have a current support contract.
