Barracuda Load Balancer

Creating Static Routes

  • Last updated on

This article refers to firmware 4.2 and higher running on all Barracuda Load Balancer models except where noted.

You can configure traffic routes to determine network routing decisions. Static routes are used to configure the default route for each port.

To configure static routes, you specify the following values on the ADVANCED > Advanced Configuration page in the web interface:

  • IP/Network Address: Enter the IP or network address of the destination in a route entry.
  • Netmask: Enter the associated Netmask for the route entry.
  • Gateway Address: Enter the network gateway IP address.
  • Port: Select the port or VLAN associated with the entered IP/Network Address.

On the Barracuda Load Balancer model 640 that includes PORT1 through PORT10, if link bonding is defined, you can select a link bond from the Port list when defining a static route.
