Barracuda SSL VPN

Why is it not possible to configure both DNS and Routing for Mac OS X Network Connector Client Configurations on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

Solution #00005621

Scope:

All Barracuda SSL VPN units.

Answer:

When using Network Connector on a Mac client, it is not possible to use DNS and route additional networks at the same time. This is due to a limitation of the third party client that is used in this Network Connector.

By default DNS is activated and Routing is disabled:
  • To enable Routing, simply add an entry to the Up Commands (Mac OS X) field for the Network Connector Client, DNS will be disabled automatically.
  • To restore DNS functionality and disable Routing, simply remove all entries from the Up Commands (Mac OS X) field.
