Caching stores commonly used information in local memory for quick retrieval rather than sending frequently used requests to and from the server each time. When a request matching the policy is given to a service, the request is cached. Whenever the same request comes to the service, then the reply is fetched from the cache and given to the user. If cache-status is "off," then the request is directly sent to the server to get the reply.
If specified, HTTP request cache-control headers are ignored for caching decisions. This option available under Web Sites > Traffic management > Caching > Edit the service and set the value of 'Ignore Request Headers' to Yes.
