Barracuda Essentials

What should a Customer use for an SPF record for my domain sending outbound mail through the Barracuda Email Security Service?

Solution #00007268

Scope:
Barracuda Email Security Service All Firmware versions

Answer:

Since the connections will be coming from one of our many outbound servers it is easiest to use our include statement. Select the relevant SPF include statement based on the region you picked for your Barracuda Email Security Service:

Customers who picked the Barracuda Email Security Service in the US region:
include:spf.ess.barracudanetworks.com -all

Customers who picked the Barracuda Email Security Service in the UK region:
include:spf.ess.uk.barracudanetworks.com -all

Customers who picked the Barracuda Email Security Service in the DE (Germany) region:
include:spf.ess.de.barracudanetworks.com -all

For example, a simple SPF record just using our US region would look like this:
Domain.com     TXT    "v=spf1 include:spf.ess.barracudanetworks.com -all"
