A user object contains a list of users that can be used in firewall rule conditions. You can use the set of predefined user objects that are provided by the Barracuda NextGen Firewall X-Series and create custom user objects. Your custom user objects can contain other user objects.

To create a new user object:
- Go to the FIREWALL > User Objects page.
- In the Custom User Objects section, click Create User Object.
Enter a Name for the user object.

Under the User tab, enter the patterns for the login names that you want to add and then click the plus sign (+).
You can use the question mark (?) and asterisk (*) as wildcard characters. To use the wildcard sequence of ?*, you must specify at least one character. To select and add other user objects, click the User Object tab.
