The "HTTP proxy" service is started but after a few seconds, the icon in the "Control" user interface turns to grey.
The proxy server relies upon two mandatory configuration settings, which make it work:
1. At least one DNS server must be configured for use.
2. A visible hostname must be set.
Two configuration areas exist to configure a DNS server:
1. Specify a DNS server in the settings part of the box configuration.
2. Specify a DNS server directly in the configuration file of the HTTP Proxy service via "Config" > "Box" > "Network" > "Virtual Servers" > "Assigned Services" > "HTTP Proxy service" > "HTTP Proxy Settings" > "Advanced " (please note that the "Advanced View" must be activated to view this section).
Use the "dns_nameservers" tag for this purpose (e.g. dns_nameservers 10.0.0.53).
3. The Visible Hostname in the HTTP Proxy service via via "Config" > "Box" > "Network" > "Virtual Servers" > "Assigned Services" > "HTTP Proxy service" > "HTTP Proxy Settings" > "General" may only contain characters that are customary to DNS systems:
Letters (A-Z), ciphers (0-9), dots (".") and hyphens ("-").
