Scope:
This solution replies to:
- NG Firewall firmware versions 4.2.x,5.0.x, 5.2.x
- netfence firmware versions 4.2.x

 
Symptoms:

Log messages like the following are reported in the log file "Log" > "Box" > "System" > "klogd.log":

 

  Info +0200 kernel: HTB: quantum of class 2740004 is big. Consider r2q change.

 

What does it mean? 

 

 

Solution:

These log messages are associated with traffic shaping configuration. They are generated by the kernel when traffic shaping has been configured for high outbound/inbound bandwidth utilisation.

 

This message is purely informational and does not report a malfunction. It may be ignored.
