- NG Firewall firmware versions 4.2.x, 5.0.x, 5.2.x
- netfence firmware versions 4.2.x
This article affect only legacy phion licenses. The AVRIA key is embedded into the "Web Security" license.
The AntiVir service is a tight integration of the AVIRA virus-scanning products into the Barracuda NG Firewall gateway. Avira Virus Scanner licenses are issued in two components:
- a .lic file (typically named 0000nnnn-VIRSCAN-nn.lic)
- a .key file (typically named 0000nnnn-VIRSCAN-nn.key)
The .lic file represents the AVIRA base license enabling Virus-Scanner service start-up on netfence systems.
The .key file is responsible for service registration on start-up and pattern update retrieval.
Proceed as follows to install the legacy phion license files:
1. Importing the .lic file:
On self-managed Barracuda NG Firewall gateways, import the license file by clicking "Import from File" in:
"Config" > "Box" > "Box Licenses".
On Control Centre s, import the license file by clicking "Import from File" in:
"Config" > "Multi-Range" > "Global Settings" > "Pool Licenses"
On CC-administered gateways, assign the pool license by clicking "Import from Pool License" in:
"Config" > "Multi-Range" > "<Rangename>" > "<Clustername>" > "Boxes" > "<Boxname>" > "Box Licenses"
2. Importing the .key file:
On self-managed gateways import the .key file into "AVIRA license" section service configuration node in:
"Config" > "Box" > "Virtual Servers" > "<Servername>" > "Assigned Services" > "<Servicename>" > "Virus Scanner Settings" > "Avira"
On MC-administered gateways Import the .key file into "AVIRA license" section service configuration node in:
"Config" > "Multi-Range" > "<Rangename>" > "<Clustername>" > "Boxes" > "<Boxname>" > "Config" > "Box" > "Virtual Servers" > "<Servername>" > "Assigned Services" > "<Servicename>" > "Virus Scanner Settings" > "Avira"
