Barracuda NG Network Access Client could not connect

Scope:
This solution replies to:
- NG Network Access Client versions 2.0-SPx
- Entegra Client versions 1.0-SPx, 2.0-SPx

 
Symptoms:

The VPN connection breaks with following error message (in the Barracuda NG Network Access Client "Log").

 

Could not connect to serverConnectLib,Open() failed: could not open DIRECT connection, IOStreamSock: Connect(x.x.x.x:691): TIMEOUT
Error while connect to x.x.x.x:691 (proto=TCP)

 


 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
Solution:

This message only appears if the server IP address is reachable, but there is no listen port (UDP/TCP 691) avaliable.

 

The "VPN Service" listen in a standard-configuration on the first and second server IP. For additional server IP address you have to bind the vpnserver manually on this additional IPs. You may do this in following configuration node:


"Config" > "Box" > "Virutal Servers" > "<Servername>" > "Assigned Services" > "<Servicename>" > "Service Properties" > "Service Availability"
