Proxy service does not bind to configured ip and port

Solution #00005214
This solution replies to:
- NG Firewall firmware versions 4.2.x, 5.0.x, 5.2.x
- netfence firmware versions 4.2.x

The "HTTP Proxy" service starts and his status changes to "green" ("Control" > "Server"). The squid process applies no binding to the configured IP and the port (see "Control" > "Processes").

The following entry appears in the "Log" > "<Servername>" > "<Servicename>" > "cache.log":

Error +0100 server_service[22222]: ipcache_init: DNS name lookup tests failed.
Error +0100 server_service[22222]: Squid Cache (Version 2.5.STABLE10-CVS): Terminated abnormally.

The following entry appears in the "Log" > "<Servername>" > "<Servicename>" > "controlSquid.log":
  Notice +0100 [2810043] user time used[15822]: 0.010000 s
  Notice +0100 [2810043] system time used[15822]: 0.000000 s
  Notice +0100 [2810043] page reclaims[15822]: 77.134725843 s
  Notice +0100 [2810043] page faults[15822]: 449.134725843 s
Warning +0100 [2810042] squid child 15822 may be terminated abnormally
Internal +0100 [2810041] child 15822 terminated with signal number 6

The "HTTP Proxy" service starts with included DNS tests. At the start, varius domains will be checked for their dissolvability. If these predefined domains are not reachable, the squid process will be restarted.

Enter a reachable DNS server at "Config" > "Box" > "Administrative Settings" > "DNS Settings" > "DNS Server" that the proxy service is able to resolve DNS via this IP.

Alternatively you may define DNS server IPs directly in "Advanced" section of the "HTTP Proxy" configuration with the option "dns_nameservers".
