Barracuda NextGen Firewall X

Users can't authenticate with RSA-ACE after a box update

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 5 months ago
Solution #00005253
This solution replies to:
- NG Firewall firmware versions 4.2.x, 5.0.x, 5.2.x
- netfence firmware versions 4.2.x

After an update to a newer firmware version the users can't authenticate with RSA-ACE anymore.

The phibs service could not read the RSA-ACE configuration file.

Perform the following steps to solve this issue:

1. Export the RSA configuration file from the "Config" > "Box" > "Infrastructure Services" > "Authentication Service" > "RSA-ACE Authentication".

2. Import the configuration file into the "Config" > "Box" > "Infrastructure Services" > "Authentication Service" > "RSA-ACE Authentication" again.

3. Restart the phibs service on this box.
