Solution #00005261

Scope:
This solution replies to:
- NG Firewall firmware versions 4.2.x
- netfence firmware versions 4.2.x

Symptoms:

The appliance L2000 / M5 crashes at activation of a Broadcom 582x acceleration card. In the "Log" > "Box" > "System" > "klogd.log" appears following messages.

Solution:

This messeages means that the box has a problem with IRQ assignment when ACPI is enabled.

Info kernel: ACPI-0164: *** Error: No object was returned from [\\_SB_.PCI0.P1AB.PXHA._PRT] (Node 84032780), AE_NOT_EXIST
Info kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt Routing Table [\\_SB_.PCI0.P2AB.PXHA._PRT]

The L2000 / M5 appliances should have the ACPI option disabled but if this messages occurs the ACPI is enabled.

Disable the ACPI option in the BIOS at the menu "Power Management Setup" > "ACPI Function" set to "disabled".
