Where can a Customer find a list of applications the NG firewall is currently detecting?

Solution #00007231

Scope:
BNG and NG Products

Answer:
In both NG Firewall (F-series) and Barracuda Firewall (X-series) we use set of various technologies to detect application traffic. The engine combines pattern matching, certificate checks as well as behavioral analysis. It also depends on enabled features (e.g. SSL Inspection allows to analyse content and detect Facebook sub apps, while without this feature enabled we can only work on encrypted data flow and therefore detect ?Facebook Base? ? which means ?some activity on Facebook?). There is no database available with exact detection methods and settings used per application. You can browse a full database with short descriptions online at https://www.barracuda.com/products/ngfirewall/firewallapp
