Solution #00007318

Scope:
NG Firewall all Firmware

Answer:
To create a SHA-256 self signed certificate on a linux system command line (such as the NG firewall )

Connect to the SSH tab in the NG Admin once in the ssh shell run the following command.
openssl req -x509 -nodes -sha256 -days 365 -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout domain.key -out domain.crt
This will create a certificate and key within your current directory that you can then download and then install on the unit.

To get a SHA-256 signing request to send to the third party signing authority run the following command from ssh.
openssl req -new -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes -keyout domain.key -out domain.csr
The command above will create a CSR in your current directory that you can download and then send to the signing authority for a signed certificate.
