Why the Control Center didn?t update the license for my remote box?

Answer: If the control center was not originally configured to update the license on the remote box, then it will not be able to push new licenses to remote boxes. In order to get the CC to start managing the licenses, then you will need to do the following:

  1. Go the Control Center Config-Tree, locate the box experiencing the issue, Go to ?Box Properties?

    1. Make sure that the Serial number field has the correct information, if missing, please enter the serial number, Send Changes and Activate.

  2. Go to ?Control? tab -> ?Barracuda Activation?

    1. Select/Highlight the box in question, right click and select ?Update licenses?

Additional Information:

  • You might run into the error ?Write Update license failed : License rejected : More than one base license? ? In this case you need to go back into the box and delete all the licenses, including the base license, Send Changes and Activate. (This will allow the Control Center to send new licenses to the remote box.)
