Barracuda NextGen Firewall X

How can I change the administrator password on my Barracuda Firewall?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 6 months ago
Solution #00007040

Scope:

All Barracuda firewalls, all firmware versions

Answer:

You can change the password of your Barracuda Firewall after logging in to the web UI by navigating to the BASIC tab and clicking on the ADMINISTRATION page. The first configuration option you see at the top of that page will allow you to change the 'admin' password for web UI access. You will be asked to enter the current password, and then enter your new password twice for confirmation.

Additional Info:

Changing the administrator password on the web UI DOES NOT change the password for the administrative console (keyboard and monitor access).
