Barracuda SSL VPN

What is a Realm on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

Solution #00003727

Scope:
This solution applies to Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.

Answer:
You may see references to Realms from time to time. This usage is generally interchangeable with User Databases (i.e. a realm is a configured user database on the system).

By default there are 2 user databases, super user which is a built-in user database and only contains the ssladmin account. Users in this realm have full admin access, but it has been restricted so that only the ssladmin account can exist in this realm. The other realm on a new system is the Default realm. This starts as a built-in user database, but can be reconfigured. This is the place where the SSL VPN users would exist.

Switching Realms: There is a drop down menu at the top right of the screen showing the realm currently being administered. You can use this to switch between realms.
