Barracuda SSL VPN

What are Attributes on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 10 years ago
Solution #00003728

Scope:
This solution applies to Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.

Answer:
Confidential attributes are used by the system to store personal information about the user such as security questions, which are used during authentication. Custom attributes can also be created for users to store fields. These can then be used in Resources using the attributes replacement button ${}.

Additional Notes:
An example: An attribute exists by default called My Computer. Each user can edit this attribute from the User Console. An administrator can then define a single RDP resource using this attribute as the hostname. This resource will then open an RDP connection to that user’s defined hostname.
