Scope:
This solution applies to Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.
Answer:
Administrative rights are not exclusive to the ssladmin superuser account. Other users, and groups, may be delegated administrative permissions including such rights as Resource or Policy creation. Delegating administrative permissions can ease the superintendence of your Barracuda SSL VPN by decentralizing its management or avoiding shared management logins. Follow the below steps to delegate permissions to other users.
- Create a Policy in Access Control > Policies and add any users or groups to which you wish to delegate. For more information on Policy creation, see Solution #3721.
- Navigate to Access Control > Access Rights and create a new System Right. Add any Access Rights you wish to delegate, and assign the Access Right resource newly created policy.
- Do the same again, but for Resource Rights and Personal Rights. The user will now have access to manage the system when they next log on.
