Can I use multi-factor authentication schemes for Network Connect resources on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

Solution #00004000

Scope:
All Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.

Answer:
The standalone Network Connect client only supports single factor authentication, it is possible to use one of either password, certificate, or RADIUS. However if Network Connect is forced to only launch via a web browser only multi factor authentication can be enforced through the SSL VPN login, to accomplish this follow these instructions:
  1. Configure and implement a multi-factor authentication scheme. For more information on configuring authentication schemes, please refer to Solution #00003777.

  2. Navigate to Access Control >Configuration > Session Options > VPN Connection Requires Logged in
    User
: Set this option here to Yes.
Now users will not be able to use the standalone client. Instead, they will be forced to use the multi-factor authentication scheme in the SSL VPN web interface before they can launch Network Connect.
