Barracuda SSL VPN

How do I upload a Network Solutions certificate on the SSLVPN?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 9 years ago

Solution #00004141

Scope:
Applies to all Barracuda SSL VPN models and firmware.

Answer:
From the SSL VPN web interface, navigate to Basic > SSL Certificate and fill in the required fields for generating a certificate signing request (CSR) under the Certificate Generation header. Once the CSR is generated and submitted to Network Solutions, they will send back four certificate files.

Note: When entering information, make sure the certificate is marked as Apache-modSSL. Download the private key from SSL VPN, Certificate Generation section.

Using a text editor, compile the following three certificates into one chain bundle certificate:
NetworkSolutions_CA.crt

UTNAddTrustServer_CA.crt
AddTrustExternalCARoot.crt

Add each certificate in the order above, then save it as a .crt file
extension.

Proceed to upload all files simultaneously:
signed certificate
bundled.crt
enter certificate password "sslvpn"
private key

Note: Do NOT use notepad to write these files, as it adds extra formatting that interferes with the upload.
