Barracuda SSL VPN

Are there any issues with using my Barracuda SSL VPN with Windows 7?

Solution #00004545

Scope:
This solution applies to Barracuda SSL VPNs, all firmware versions.

Answer:
As of Firmware 2.1, Windows 7 is fully compatible with the Barracuda SSL VPN, and works with all features.

The previous issue with mapped drives on Windows 7 clients has been resolved in version 2.1 through the use of the Dokan Library, which will need to be installed on any Windows 7 clients that attempt to use Mapped Drives. This client need only be installed once if left in place, but can also be removed if necessary and re-installed when next required.

There was an issue with NAC client side checking on Windows 7 64-bit, but this has been resolved with the SSL VPN 1.6.0.27 firmware release.

You may find that you have latency issues with RDP when using Windows 7, however this is not a problem of Barracuda SSL VPN. Some QoS settings require altering on the Windows 7 client machine. Please see Solution #00003833 for more details about this issue.
