Barracuda SSL VPN

Why does the Barracuda SSL VPN UniTTY extension incorrectly display the text cursor on some Macintosh systems?

Solution #00004610

Scope:

Applies to all Barracuda SSL VPNs.

Answer:

Some Macintosh users have found that when using the Barracuda SSL VPN UniTTY extension the text cursor will be displayed a large distance from the text that is being typed. The cause of this problem is the default font that is used in earlier versions of the extension; Monospaced plain.

The fix is to edit the resource shortcut and change the font from Monospaced.plain to just Monospaced. This fixes the issue with the cursor. The problem occurs because this font does not exist when running on Mac (only Windows).

The extension has been updated so that Monospaced is the default font however this problem will persist for shortcuts created prior to this release until they are edited. This will affect any Application Definition version 1.3.12 (Advanced > Energize Updates) and earlier.
