Barracuda SSL VPN

How do I manually configure a Web Forward for Citrix Web Access on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 7 years ago

Solution #00004861

Scope:

This solution applies to Barracuda SSL VPNs, firmware version 1.7.2.008 and above.

Answer:

Note: This requires Barracuda SSL VPN firmware version 1.7.2.008 and above due to enhancements that were applied to this release.

Go to Resources > Web Forwards, select the Custom Web Forward Category and the Path Based Reverse Proxy option, and provide the hostname or IP address of the Citrix server in the hostname field.

As soon as you have created this new resource, edit it. Now, set the Always Launch Agent option to Yes and save the resource.

Now when a user launches this resource, the SSL VPN Agent will automatically start. When the user then clicks on a Citrix resource in the web page to launch the Citrix client, the Agent will then automatically tunnel to the target Citrix server and tell the Citrix client to use this tunnel.
