Solution #00005521

Scope:

This solution applies to all Barracuda SSL VPN.

Answer:
Mobile Support for the SSL VPN varies depending on the type of device that is being used.

Any Mobile Device that has a Web Browser is able to connect to the SSL VPN UI. The login will still use the same process as login from a desktop. Unfortunately a number of Mobile Devices do not support Java so the SSL VPN Agent cannot be launched. This limits the number of available features to those that do not use the Agent.

Outlook Mobile Access (OMA) is a lightweight version of Outlook Web Access (OWA) designed for Mobile Devices. This will also be available to any devices that have a web browser.
Solution #00005484 explains how to configure and access this feature.

Firmware 2.1 introduced a PPTP and an IPsec server to the SSL VPN. Using these it is possible to allow Mobile Devices a full network connection to the network through the SSL VPN.

Solution #00005456 and Solution #00005457 explain how to configure the PPTP and IPsec servers for use.
Solution #00005487 and Solution #00005513 provide details for configuring Mobile Devices to connect to the SSL VPN via PPTP and IPsec/L2TP.
