Solution #00005590

Scope:

This solution applies to the Barracuda SSL VPN in regards to Microsoft Small Business Server 2008 (SharePoint Services) or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.

Answer:

There are two different types of SharePoint Web Forwards that can be created. If you have a Microsoft Small Business Server, use the instructions for SharePoint Services.

To create a SharePoint Web Forward (SharePoint Server 2010):
  1. Go to Resources > Web Forwards, select the Custom Web Forward Category and the Path Based Reverse Proxy option.
  2. Select ‘Path-Based Reverse Proxy’ as the web forward type.
  3. Provide the SharePoint URL in the ‘Destination URL’ field. The format should be 'http://<SharePoint>/' where <SharePoint> is the path and name of your SharePoint server and site.
  4. In the Paths field, add '/default.aspx'.
  5. Add any required policies to the resource.

To create a SharePoint Services Web Forward (Small Business Server 2008):
  1. Go to Resources > Web Forwards, select the Custom Web Forward Category and the Path Based Reverse Proxy option.
  2. Provide the SharePoint URL in the ‘Destination URL’ field. The format should be 'http://<SharePoint>:port/default.aspx' where <SharePoint> is the path and name of your SharePoint server and site.
  3. In the Paths field, add '/default.aspx'.
  4. Add any required policies to the resource.
