Barracuda SSL VPN

How can I duplicate configurations for multiple user databases on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

  • Type: Knowledgebase
  • Date changed: 8 years ago

Solution #00005659

Scope:
This solution applies to all Barracuda SSL-VPN units, all firmware versions.

Answer:
The SSL VPN makes it easy to duplicate configurations for multiple User Databases. If there is a resource that needs to be available to more than one database it can be copied from the current database to target database, maintaining the configuration of the original resource.

Sections that support this functionality are:
  • Web Forwards
  • Network Places
  • Application
  • Profiles
  • Policies
  • Access Rights
  • NAC Exceptions
  • Authentication Schemes
To copy a resource to another database simply locate the resource and open the More.. menu, from here select the option Copy to User Database.

A new window will open which looks like an Edit page, allowing changes to be made to the resource if required. Rather than a Policy selection table the page has a User Database selection.

Simply add the User Databases that the resource will be copied to and select the Save button. A resource will be created in each User Database selected with the settings that were configured.

Additionally, there is a Global User Database which the ssladmin can access to create resources that can be accessed from multiple User Databases.
