Barracuda SSL VPN

How can I assign resources to a policy from the Policy screen on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

Solution #00005747

Scope:

This solution applies to all Barracuda SSL VPN units running firmware version 2.1 or higher.

Answer:

As of firmware version 2.1, the SSL VPN includes the ability to assign Resources and Access Control elements through the Edit Policy page as well as each individual resource and element. This allows for a single location to go through the whole SSL VPN, assigning the policy to everything it should be assigned to.

To do this, navigate to Access Control > Policies and select the Edit option for the Policy to be updated. In the Details section under the new Time Restriction settings are a number of boxes; these list all the resources and elements on the SSL VPN that can have a policy assigned to them. Using the check-boxes, select any resources or elements that should be assigned to the policies users and groups,

Note: These include the key items such as Profiles, authentication Schemes, and Access Rights, without which the users will not be able to login to the SSL VPN at all.

Once all required resources and elements have been selected, Save the policy and it will be added to everything that was selected.

Additional Notes:
This functionality is available to all Policies in all User Databases.
