Barracuda SSL VPN

Why can I only launch one path-based web forward at a time on my Barracuda SSL VPN?

Solution #00005778

Scope:
This solution applies to the Barracuda SSL VPN, all firmware versions.

Answer:
If you are using path-based web forwards, you may sometimes see this message when you attempt to launch another web forward:

A problem has occurred with this web forward. A path used by this reverse proxy web forward is already beingused by another active web forward session.

You should either close the other session, or consider using a different type of web forward that does not have this limitation. You get an option to close the other web forward, or close the current window. This happens because you have one or more Web Forwards defined that use the same path names in their URLs and you’ve already launched another of these resources during this session.

As path-based web forwards match incoming paths in URLs to web forwards, the SSL VPN can no longer determine for which server it needs to forward the request on it, hence this message.
