Barracuda SSL VPN

How can I resolve the issue where my PC's hard drive is running out of free space after using Mapped Drives on my SSL VPN?

Solution #00006188

Scope:

All Barracuda SSL VPNs, firmware versions 2.3 and higher.

Answer:
With firmware 2.3, the Mapped Drives feature now uses WebDAV. Windows client machines cache any WebDAV files, and do not delete them. This caching could lead to the client system quickly running low on free hard drive space.

There is a feature in the SSL VPN which will clear this cache when a user logs off the SSL VPN GUI. This feature is disabled by default, as we cannot delete just the SSL VPN files (there is no way to determine which files were downloaded from what process, so all have to be deleted. This could lead to issues if other services are using WebDAV - hence the reason for disabling this feature by default).

Please contact Barracuda Technical Support, who can enable this cache cleaning feature for you.
