Remote Filtering enables your IT department to provide and control content security beyond the perimeter of the IT infrastructure. For satellite offices, remote and mobile workers, and students, the Remote Filtering feature allows secure web browsing access, from any computer or iOS device and any location, that complies with the web access and security policies of the organization.  Remote Filtering is also available with the Barracuda Web Security Gateway 410 and higher.

  • Filter traffic from remote Macintosh, Windows laptops and desktops – Deploy the  Filtering Traffic for Remote Users With the Barracuda WSA(WSA) on each remote clients and proxy all web traffic over the Internet to the Barracuda Web Security Service, which can monitor web traffic and apply web security policies. The Barracuda WSA supports both Windows and Macintosh OSX devices with the Barracuda Web Security Service as follows:
    • Barracuda WSA for Macintosh UP TO version 2.x. Version 5.x and above does not support the service.
    • Barracuda WSA for Windows UP TO version 4.x. Version 5.x and above does not support the service.
    Also available with the Barracuda Web Security Gateway, which also supports client-side SSL inspection with the Barracuda WSA.
