Barracuda Web Security Service

Why don't my users see a block page when blocked by the Barracuda Web Security Gateway?

Solution #00005588

Scope:

This solution applies to Barracuda Web Security Flex.

Answer:

The local redirect IP address is the address used for sourcing the block page on your Barracuda Web Security Gateway.  If users are unable to load the block page, you may need to change the local redirect IP address from the default setting (172.27.72.27) to a different IP on your network separate from that of your Barracuda Web Security Gateway or any other device on your network.

You can do so under the CONFIGURATION > Gateway > IP Configuration page of your Barracuda Flex interface. Here, you may now change the redirect IP address to anything you like. This IP address will be the loopback address for serving block pages.
