Barracuda RMM account options add additional security to Service Center, including:
- Defining how users access the web console.
- Protecting against brute force attacks.
To set options for user sessions
In Service Center, click Configuration > Users & Roles > User Management.
- Click Global Account Settings.
Type the number of minutes after which the user is logged out of Service Center if there has been no activity.
You need to log out and log in again before this setting is applied to the session.
To set options for failed logon attempts
In Service Center, click Configuration > Users & Roles > User Management.
Click Global Account Settings.
Type the number of failed login attempts allowable within a defined period of time.
- Click Save.
To set options for passwords
In Service Center, click Configuration > Users & Roles > User Management.
- Click Global Account Settings.
- Under Password Settings, select any or all the following check boxes:
- Password minimum length is X characters Passwords have a minimum length of 8-64 characters.
- Keep a history of X passwords Users are not be able to reuse previous passwords.
- Enforce alphanumeric passwords Passwords must contain letters and numbers.
- Enforce special characters in passwords Passwords must contain at least one special character.
- Password expires after X days. Send notification X days before password expires Causes the password to expire after a specified number of days with a warning email sent to the user a defined number of days before the expiration.
- Click Save.
To set options for Microsoft ID settings
- Under Microsoft Entra ID Settings, select the following check boxes:
- Enforce Microsoft Entra ID SSO Login if Configured Users must use Entra ID to log in if Microsoft Entra ID is set up.
- Click Save.
