Viewing Guest Information for the VMWare ESXi Service Module

The Guest Overview dashboard provides details about a virtual machine, and includes links for you to manage the guest state. This dashboard includes the following sections:

Guest Identification

Includes guest name, IP address, OS name, Host name, uptime, whether or not VMware tools are running. Also includes a link to view the resource configuration.

Guest State Management

Includes command links to power on or off, suspend, reset, restart, or shut down the guest machine. You can also drill down to manage snapshots and view the status of commands issues on the guest machine.

Support Resources

This area provides a link to the VMware support website.

You can also generate the Host VMware Guests Summary report from the Guest Overview dashboard.

To view the VMware Guest Overview dashboard

1. In Service Center, click Status > Service Modules.
2. Click the VMware link.
3. In the Managed Sites table, click a site name.
4. In the Hosts Summary table, click a host machine name.
5. In the Guest Summary table, click a guest machine name.
