Barracuda XDR

Working with the Unprotected Devices page

  • Last updated on

The Unprotected Devices page gives you insight into what devices in your environment are not yet under the protection of Barracuda XDR.

For a device to appear in the Unprotected Devices table on this page, it must be:

  • Not protected by the Barracuda XDR SentinelOne agent
  • Compatible with the Barracuda XDR SentinelOne agent
  • On a subnet that has at least two devices protected by the Barracuda XDR SentinelOne agent

A device can appear on this table if the Barracuda XDR SentinelOne agent has been installed on it but the first scan hasn't completed.

To protect a device in the table, protect it with Barracuda XDR. See Setting up Endpoint Protection for Devices.

How Barracuda XDR Finds Unprotected Devices

To find unprotected endpoints, Barracuda XDR runs a non-intrusive, non-resource-intensive scan on your network’s subnets. For a subnet to be scanned, it must have at least two endpoints with the Barracuda XDR SentinelOne agent installed. Typical scans are completed within a few hours but can vary depending on the size of the network.

If you would like to exclude specific subnets from the scan or disable the scan entirely, contact the SOC. Excluding subnets and disabling scans are not recommended.
