CloudGen Access App for Linux

The CloudGen Access App for Linux is distributed in two separate packages:

  • access - GUI – For interactive user sessions (depends on access-tunnel).

  • access-tunnel – Stand-alone network services and command line utilities designed to run in headless setups.

APT Repository

  1. Install prerequisites.

    sudo apt update 
    sudo apt install -y ca-certificates apt-transport-https wget gnupg2
  2. Add repository.

    REPO_URL="downloads.access.barracuda.com" 
    wget -q -O - "https://$REPO_URL/fyde-public-key.asc" | sudo apt-key add - 
    sudo bash -c "cat > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/fyde.list <<EOF 
    deb https://$REPO_URL/apt stable main 
    EOF" 
    sudo apt update
  3. Install:

    • GUI version

      sudo apt install access 
    • CLI version

      • Install

        sudo apt install access-tunnel
      • Enroll

        /opt/access/access-tunnel --enroll "<CloudGen Access App enrollment link>" 
        systemctl --user enable access-tunnel 
        systemctl --user start access-tunnel

YUM Repository

  1. Install prerequisites.

    sudo yum -y install wget
  2. Add repository.

    REPO_URL="downloads.access.barracuda.com" 
    sudo yum-config-manager -y --add-repo "https://${REPO_URL}/fyde.repo" 
    wget -q -O /tmp/fyde-public-key.asc "https://$REPO_URL/fyde-public-key.asc" 
    sudo rpm --import /tmp/fyde-public-key.asc 
    rm -v /tmp/fyde-public-key.asc
  3. Install:

    • GUI version

      sudo yum install access
    • CLI version

      • Install

        sudo yum install access-tunnel
      • Enroll

        /opt/access/access-tunnel --enroll "<CloudGen Access App enrollment link>"
      • Start the tunnel:

        • CentOS 8+

          systemctl --user start access-tunnel
