To configure an application to use in your own container:
On the Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service web interface.
In the left panel, click Applications.
On the Applications page, click Add Application.
Websites:
Enter a name for the application you want to protect.
Select an app group to which you want the application to be associated with.
Enter all possible DNS domains your users will use to access this service, including different forms, like
example.com
. Click Continue .Note : Be sure to include all of your possible domains in this step. If you do not add certain domains, they will not be accessible.
Backend Server:
Backend Server Protocol : Specify the protocol for the backend server – HTTP or HTTPS.
Backend Server : Specify its IP address or Hostname and port. This is typically the current IP Address or hostname associated with the DNS domains you entered in step 1.
Because you are deploying in your own container, you will enter a private IP address – possibly an address starting with a10
or127
.
Click Add .
Container: Displays if you are deploying in your own container.
Make the appropriate selection, then click Add.Select the container where you want to deploy this application. The process is complete.
If you have not yet created a container, click Select a container later.
The Endpoint page for this application appears. You must create a container first, then return to edit the location.
To create a container, refer to Create a New Container.
Navigate to the Endpoint page for this application.In the Deployment Location area, click Edit.
Select the Deploy this application in my own container checkbox.
Select the name of the container, then click Save.
