The Barracuda Link Balancer can operate in two different modes. Choose an operation mode before installing. The two most common deployment methods are:

  • Deployment in front of your firewall - Keep your existing firewall, and insert the Barracuda Link Balancer between your firewall and the Internet.
  • Deployment replacing your firewall - Replace your firewall with the Barracuda Link Balancer.
