Testing a Microsoft Entra ID Log In Integration

The following is the procedure for testing a Microsoft Entra ID Log In integration once you have set it up using the Setting up Microsoft Entra ID Log in procedure.

To perform this test, you will need credentials for the following accounts:

  • A Microsoft Entra user with Cloud Application Administrator rights or higher

To test a Microsoft Entra ID log in integration

  1. Log in to your Microsoft Entra Console with an account that has at Cloud Application Administrator rights or higher.
  2. Navigate to Users/Groups.
  3. In the top menu, click Add User/Group.
  4. Find Microsoft Entra user that is also a Barracuda RMM user, and that uses the same email for both.
  5. If you can't find a user that uses the same email for both, create one.  
  6. Once you have a Barracuda RMM user that meets the criteria, navigate to the Microsoft My Apps portal at  https://myapplications.microsoft.com/
  7. Click the icon of the application you created in the Setting up Microsoft Entra procedure on the Setting up Microsoft Entra ID Log in page.

    If there is no application icon, the integration wasn't successful.

  8. Sign in again with Microsoft Entra.

    If you are not logged in to Barracuda RMM right away, the integration wasn't successful.
