End-of-Life
Starting May 1st, 2018, we will no longer offer the ArchiveOne family of products. This includes all editions of ArchiveOne, ArchiveOne for Files, Max Compression, and Access Security Manager.
Updating to Version 7.3
In-place upgrades are supported from the following product versions:
- ArchiveOne Enterprise Version 7.1.0
- ArchiveOne Enterprise Version 7.2.0
- ArchiveOne Enterprise Version 7.2.1
You must ensure the system meets the hardware and software pre-requisites before upgrading.
Version 7.3
Version 7.3 is a full standard installation package. Note that a supported version of Outlook must be installed on the Archive server.
Licensing and Version Assurance
This is a full release and as such is only available to customers with a valid Software Version Assurance (SVA) contract.
Version 7.3 Enhancements
Archiving performance
The archiving process is now multi-threaded to produce a 3- to 15-times increase in archiving throughput. The ArchiveOne Data Manager services are now 64-bit to provide support for larger queues of data pending archiving.
New installation package
The installation wizard is now fully automated to install and configure the necessary Windows components. Any errors or warnings are easily resolved with the installer directing the user to appropriate Barracuda Campus pages.
Local Configuration Store
All customizations from the Window Registry and websites configuration files are now stored in the Local Configuration Store on disk to ensure customizations are retained during updates.
Auto-updates
ArchiveOne can now automatically download updates from Barracuda as these become available and notify the ArchiveOne administrator an update is ready for installation. Updates can then be authorized for installation when convenient, and all server components across the ArchiveOne implementation are then updated without further user intervention.
Platform Support
Exchange Server 2016 and SQL Server 2016 are now supported. ArchiveOne Client components are now supported on Outlook 2016.

- Kernel mode authentication is automatically enabled when Windows integrated authentication is set for the AOneSearch website. Previously this had to be set manually.
- The ArchiveOne Admin console will launch without error in the event the ArchiveOne Journal Archiving Service and the ArchiveOne PST Service are not running, though the features that rely on these services will not be updated.
- The periodic setting of the ArchiveOne service account permissions on defined mailboxes in the Mailbox Manager has been serialized to improve performance.
- The Installation log now traces the installer version being run, which was previously only available in the MSI log.
