How to Install the Search and Retrieval Website on Small Business Server

The Search and Retrieval website is by default installed under Default Web Site in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. On a Windows Small Business Server (SBS), web applications must be installed under the SBS Web Applications site in IIS Manager to function correctly. Therefore, you must move the ArchiveOne web services after installation to the SBS Web Applications site. To do so, use the following steps:

  1. On the ABA server, open IIS Manager.
  2. Expand Servername > Sites > SBS Web Applications where Servername represents the name of the server.
  3. Right-click SBS Web Applications, and click Add Application.
  4. In the Alias field, type AOneAudit.
  5. Click Select, and select the Archive One application pool from the drop-down menu.
  6. In the Physical path section, browse to and select C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOneAudit.
  7. Click OK to create the website.

Repeat the above steps for all ArchiveOne web services using the following Alias/Physical path combinations:

  • Alias: AOneEWS / Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOneEWS
  • Alias: AOnePolExtArch / Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePolExtArch
  • Alias: AOnePolFileAccess / Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePolFileAccess
  • Alias: AOnePolPstDiscovery / Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePolPstDiscovery
  • Alias: AOnePolQL / Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePolQL
  • Alias: AOnePolServerDetails/ Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePolServerDetails
  • Alias: AOnePstManagement/ Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOnePstManagement
  • Alias: AOneSearch/ Physical path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Barracuda\ArchiveOne\Web\AOneSearch

Once all web services are created under the SBS Web Applications site, run the System Health check from the ArchiveOne Admin console to confirm the web services are operational. The System Health report tests access to all web services and confirms the services are responding as expected.
