Resetting a Multi-Factor Authentication app from the VARAdmin Hosted Console

You can reset the multi-factor authentication for users who use an authentication app only. Once this procedure is complete, the user is required to set up their multi-factor authentication again before they log in to Barracuda RMM.

This procedure cannot be used for user accounts that:

  • use any other kind of authentication, such as SMS or email.
  • are disabled.
  • are locked out.
Requirement To reset the multi-factor authentication app using this method, you must know the username associated with the account.
To reset a user’s multi-factor authentication app
  1. In the Hosted Console website, click Status > VAR Dashboard.
  2. Click a VAR link.
  3. Click the General Information tab.
  4. In the MFA Reset for Service Center User (Authentication app option only) section, type the user’s username.
  5. Click Request Reset.

The next time the user attempts to log in to Barracuda RMM, they will have to set up multi-factor authentication before they can log in.
