Scheduling Antivirus Definition Updates

The Antivirus definition update schedule determines when and how often virus definitions are updated.

To Schedule an Antivirus Definition Update for Avast Business Antivirus

1. In the AV Schedules section, in the Schedule column of the AV Definition Updates row, click the first link (Begins with the word "Run").

2. Do one of the following:

   • To run the AV definition update every day, click Daily.

   • To run the AV definition update once a week, click Weekly, then select the day of the week to run.

   • To run the AV definition update once a month, click Monthly, then type a number in the Day box.

   Selecting 1 runs on the first day of the month, 2 on the second day, and so on.

3. Type the time the scan begins in the corresponding box. You can also click the clock icon and select a time from the list.
4. Click Save.
