Import Barracuda WAF Configuration to Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service

Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service enables you to upload the Barracuda Web Application Firewall configuration and import the required applications into WAF-as-a-Service. You can import the configuration from Barracuda WAF hardware, Vx (Virtual), or Instance (Public Cloud).

To Upload the Configuration File

Perform the following steps to upload the configuration file:

  1. Go to the RESOURCES tab, and select APPLIANCE CONFIG IMPORT in the left panel.

  2. On the WAF Appliance Configuration Import page, click Upload New Configuration.

  3. On the Upload Barracuda WAF Configuration window:

    1. Click Next.

    2. Click Browse, locate, and select the configuration file (in JSON format).

    3. Click Next.

  4. After the file uploads, all services from the Barracuda Web Application Firewall are listed in the table.

You can now choose the services you want to import to Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service and configure other component settings (if needed).

To Import the Service into Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service

  1. Go to the RESOURCES tab, and select APPLIANCE CONFIG IMPORT in the left panel.

  2. On the WAF Appliance Configuration Import page, click Import next to the service you want to import into Barracuda WAF-as-a-Service.

  3. On the Import Barracuda WAF Configuration page:

    1. Specify the domain name for the application, modify other settings (if needed), and click Next.

    2. Select the certificate option and click Next.

    3. Modify the server IP address and port if needed and click Import.

  4. Once the configuration import is complete, the status next to the service will show Imported. If the import is successful, the Import Logs link will appear. If the import is unsuccessful, the Error Logs link will be displayed. Click on the link to view the configuration details imported to WAF-as-a-Service.

  5. Go to the Applications page and check the imported application.
