This article refers to the Barracuda ArchiveOne for Files version 7.2.0 and higher.
See Repositories Node for additional information.
By default, the ArchiveOne Data Processing Services are installed using the local system account which usually does not have access to network-based resources such as network drives. However, if you wish to host your repositories on a different server than the one running the services, you can configure network-based repositories by completing the following steps:
- Ensure that no Policies are running in the ArchiveOne For Files Management Console.
- Open the Microsoft Services console. Right-click ArchiveOne Core Service and click Stop, and then right-click ArchiveOne Broker Service and click Stop.
- On the Properties for each of the ArchiveOne Data Processing Services, change the Log On account from Local System to another account with privileges to the network share where you want to host your repositories.
- Restart ArchiveOne Core Service and ArchiveOne Broker Service.
The ArchiveOne Data Processing Services are now running under the newly configured service account. You can now create repositories using UNC paths for any network-based repository.
